Overnight Mall Entrance Cleaning at Cumberland Mall

The property

Cumberland Mall is a regional shopping mall in the Cumberland area of Atlanta, near the Cobb County line. Its entrances open onto covered concrete vestibules and brick paver plazas that carry heavy foot traffic every day.

The job

We cleaned a mall entrance overnight, after the mall closed. Before any water went down, the crew sealed every entrance door with waterproof tape so nothing could get into the mall. Then they cleaned the concrete with a hot-water surface cleaner, which lifts the gum, grease and ground-in dirt that cold water leaves behind, scrubbed along the door thresholds by hand, and rinsed the brick pavers in front of the entrance.

The result

The mall's team told us the next morning that the area had been cleaned successfully. Sealing the doors first is what lets this kind of work happen overnight at an indoor mall without any water getting inside.
