College Conference Center Building Wash in Clarkston, GA

The property

The Georgia Piedmont Technical College Conference Center is on the college’s Clarkston campus. The front is a curved facade with the college name in raised letters above a glass entrance canopy. Next to it, tan wall panels and brick stair towers rise above an open parking level, with stairs and concrete walkways around the site.

The job

We walked the site in March 2023, completed the college’s vendor forms and provided a certificate of insurance naming the college. The college offered April 24 to 26, 2023 for the work, gave us access to two faucets and an electrical outlet, and let us park the lift next to the conference center.

Photos from those days show the crew:

• washing the upper wall panels and the tops of the brick towers from a boom lift
• cleaning the parking deck floor with a surface cleaner
• washing the stairs and walkways around the building

On May 1 we told the college the cleaning was complete and offered a walkthrough to touch up any areas they wanted redone. The invoice was billed against the college’s purchase order, and the college paid promptly.

The result

The before photos from March show brown staining on the glass entrance canopy and grime on the wall panels above the parking level. In the after photos the canopy glass is clear and the panels are a lighter, more even tan.

This was our first job for the college. It has since hired us for the Paul M. Starnes Center in Clarkston and its Newton campus in Covington, both in 2024.
