The rear elevation of a shopping center in Winder, washed in February 2025 to remove dark streaks of algae and mildew from the brick, finished in one early morning before the tenants opened.
What we did
The back of the center is a long brick wall with service doors, utility meters and downspouts facing a service drive. Dark algae and mildew streaks ran down the brick below the roofline, with rust-colored staining at one corner. We soft washed the whole rear elevation, removing dirt, cobwebs, algae, mold and mildew, starting early in the morning and finishing before the stores opened. The property was told the date in advance so it could notify its tenants.
The result
The photos show the rear walls before the wash, at night and at dawn, and after it in daylight: the streaks are gone and the brick is an even color again. The property asked us to price its sidewalks, retaining wall and pylon sign the next day.
