How we do it
We deep clean walls and curbs with a cleaning solution and pressure matched to the masonry. Walls get a low-pressure wash, because aged mortar and decorative block do not survive an aggressive approach, and the repair costs more than the cleaning saved. Hard concrete curbs can take more pressure.
Gum removal is included on this service: gum on the curbs and walls comes off with hot water and gum-removal chemicals in the same visit. We plan where the water goes around planting beds and storm drains before the crew arrives.
If you see white, chalky deposits on brick or block, mention them when you ask for a quote. That is often efflorescence: mineral salts carried to the surface by water moving through the masonry. It comes back while the water keeps moving, so we look at it during the walkthrough and tell you plainly what cleaning can and cannot do.
When to schedule masonry wall cleaning
Masonry walls are usually cleaned in the same visit as the sidewalks and curbs around them, once or twice a year for most metro Atlanta properties. Many managers wait until pollen season is over, usually late spring. Walls in shade or next to irrigation grow algae faster and may need it sooner.

We look at it during the walkthrough and tell you plainly what cleaning can and cannot do before you approve anything.
