Post-Construction Window & Exterior Cleaning on a commercial property in metro Atlanta

Post-construction cleaning for new buildings, additions and renovations across metro Atlanta, for owners, property managers and general contractors getting a property ready to open or hand over. Construction leaves dust on the glass, labels and film on new windows, and mud, tire tracks and splatter on fresh concrete. We clean the outside of the property and the glass, so it looks finished on opening day.

What we clean

  • New windows and glass doors: construction dust, manufacturer labels and protective film
  • Storefront and lobby glass before tenants move in
  • Facades, columns and canopies after the trades leave
  • Sidewalks, curbs and entrances: mud, tire tracks and splatter
  • Parking lots and parking decks
  • Dumpster pads and enclosures used during construction

We clean the exterior and the glass, including interior glass in office buildings. General interior cleanup, such as floors and debris inside the building, is a different trade.

How we do it

Glass is cleaned by hand with a professional-grade detergent and a squeegee, or with a purified water-fed pole on upper floors, and labels and film come off with care so new glass is not scratched. Facades are soft washed at low pressure. New concrete is the exception to everything else we pressure wash: a freshly poured slab is still soft, so it is cleaned at lower pressure and without chemicals.

When to schedule it

After the last trade is off the site and before the walkthrough with the owner, a tenant or an inspector. Glass goes last, after any facade or concrete cleaning, so rinse water does not dry on finished windows. We work from the general contractor’s schedule, and at night or on a weekend if part of the building is already open.

What affects the quote

  • The amount of glass, counted pane by pane
  • Height and access: from the ground, a pole, a lift or a drone
  • How much construction residue is on the glass and concrete
  • Which areas are included: glass only, or facades, sidewalks and parking too
  • The deadline, and night or weekend timing

Why owners and contractors hire us

  • Fully insured, with certificates of insurance and additional insured or waiver of subrogation endorsements on request
  • A written, itemized proposal you can attach to the closeout
  • Before-and-after photos for the owner and the punch list

Why it matters

Safety

Construction mud and debris on sidewalks and entrances are a slip and trip hazard. Clearing them before opening protects tenants and visitors from day one.

Appearance

A new building should look new. Clean glass and clean concrete make the first impression match the investment.

Longevity

Construction dust and residue left on new glass and concrete can bond to the surface over time. Removing it early, and gently, protects the new finishes.

Health

Fine construction dust settles on glass, ledges and walkways. Washing it away keeps it from tracking inside once the building is in use.

Questions about post-construction window & exterior cleaning

What is post-construction window cleaning?

It is the first full clean of a building's glass after construction or a renovation: removing construction dust, manufacturer labels and protective film from new windows and glass doors before the building opens. We also clean the facade, sidewalks and parking areas, so the outside of the property looks finished.

Do you do interior post-construction cleaning?

We clean the exterior of the property and the glass, including interior window glass in office buildings. General interior construction cleanup, such as floors, dust and debris inside the building, is a different trade, so we do not take it on.

When should post-construction cleaning be scheduled?

After the last trade is off the site and before the owner, tenant or inspection walkthrough. Glass goes last, after any facade or concrete cleaning, so rinse water does not dry on finished windows. We work from the general contractor's schedule and can work at night or on weekends.

Do you clean sidewalks and parking lots after construction?

Yes. Mud, tire tracks and splatter from construction come off sidewalks, curbs, entrances and parking areas. Freshly poured concrete is still soft, so it is cleaned at lower pressure and without chemicals, which protects the new surface while it cures.
