How we do it

Commercial roofs are cleaned at low pressure, with a cleaning solution doing the work instead of a high-pressure stream. High pressure on a roof can strip granules from shingles and drive water under seams and flashings, so we keep the pressure low throughout.

Roof work is height work, so access is planned before the job is scheduled. We confirm how we get onto the roof, where a lift can be parked, and which water spigots and outlets work. A taller building or a harder roof to reach costs more because it takes longer and carries more risk, and we say so in the quote rather than after it.

We plan where the runoff goes around planting beds and storm drains. If a building wash is planned too, the roof and gutters go first, so nothing runs down a freshly cleaned facade, and window cleaning goes last.

Some long-standing stains lighten without disappearing completely. When that happens, we tell you in writing with the before-and-after photos.

How often to schedule roof cleaning
